Swim for the Reef is a fundraising event for Environmental Defenders Queensland. The idea is that we swim as many kilometers as we can over 8 hours and get our friends, family and worst enemies to sponsor us to do it. The aim is that all the teams put together manage to swim the full length of the reef - that's a REALLY long way! Last year the 'Swim' managed 285 km - roughly from the Southern tip of the reef to around level with Rockhampton.

This year Unidive was challenged by Brisbane BSAC to see if we can swim more laps than them! We should also see if we can raise more money than them too! Both teams will be at the Ithaca Pool in Paddington - even if you don't want to swim any laps, come along and support them team! Help us count laps and maybe even feed us! And if you can't be there, make sure you sponsor the team!

Participation is $10 and make sure you register with https://registration.everydayhero.com/ps/event/SwimfortheReef, select Individual entry for Ithaca Pool and make sure you join Team Unidive! This event is what we make it! You can swim as much or as little as you like! You can wear a costume! You can wear fins/bifins/no fins/use a scooter, whatever!The more people that sign up, the merrier!
