NOTE: This course is also running on 27th Oct and if there aren’t enough students for 20th Oct due to the FREA meeting and Buoyancy workshop, this course will be cancelled and will then only be available on 27th Oct.

What:   You’ll learn about dive injuries, different types of emergency oxygen equipment and safety considerations when using oxygen. Then you’ll practice:

  • Assembling and disassembling emergency oxygen equipment.
  • Deploying a non-rebreather mask and a demand inhalator valve on a breathing diver.
  • Using a pocket mask on a non-breathing diver.

When:  Thur 20 Oct at 6:00 – 9:30pm (approx. depending on student numbers).

Where:  'The Meeting Place' @ the top of the grandstand of the athletics track

What to bring:  Yourself – no dive equipment required.

Cost:  $90 – includes training materials and certification card. Additional costs – refill of the O2 tank and freight for the training materials split evenly between all students.
