Through PulseStart Training Solutions (https://www.pulsestart.com.au/), Unidive is running a training day to give members an opportunity to learn how to respond to emergency situations and to update their qualifications. There are three different options. Please read carefully and choose what is best for you. If you are unsure, please reach out to training@unidive.com
Option 1: HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
Price: $45
When do I need to renew? Annually
When?
Online Learning: information will be sent to you after registration. All online training must be completed at least 1 week before the training night.
Classroom Session: Saturday June 21st 2025 9AM @ Unidive (UQ St Lucia campus). Please arrive 15 minutes early. Finish approx 11AM.
Who’s it for?
- You want to know how to respond to and manage cardiac and breathing-related emergencies.
- You need a refresher on how to perform CPR
Option 2: HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and HLTAID015 Provide Advanced Resuscitation

Who’s it for?
- You want to go beyond basic CPR and learn how to respond to and manage cardiac and breathing-related emergencies using oxygen and other advanced resuscitation procedures. This is especially important for scuba divers, as oxygen therapy is a vital step in all scuba rescue scenarios.
- You need to refresh your skills or renew your qualifications
- You want to know how to help in a scuba-related emergency and understand why the club always has an oxygen kit on hand.
- You already have your first aid qualifications and want to help out the club as a boat handler or surface watch.
Reimbursement to Unidive Volunteers:
Members who have conducted boat handling, surface watch or other training activities that require these accreditations at least twice in the six months before or after the course will be reimbursed for their training. If this is you or you hope to volunteer with the club more, please email training@unidive.org to receive a discount code or information on how to volunteer and be reimbursed in the future.
Availability and Future Courses:
If the event is full and you wish to register, please contact the committee (training@unidive.org). We can work to expand the maximum capacity or organise another training night.
