Hey everyone!

We are organising a night dive at the Gold Coast Seaway on 8 February. This trip is for Experienced divers.  

The only costs will be the cost of carpooling, and hiring any gear and tanks from the club, which you will need to arrange on the Thursday night before the event, however, even if you have everything that you need including tanks, please sign up to let us know how many people are going. 

High tide is at 5:30 pm Qld time, so we will probably meet at the shed at 3 pm.

For all who are keen, we will meet the Thursday night beforehand at 6:15 pm at the shed for a pre-dive brief.

Each diver must:

• Be a current Unidive member, medically fit to dive, who passed the swim test.
• Have dived in the last 6 months.
• Have an Advanced certification or equivalent from a recognised agency.
• Have a minimum of 25 dives at 10 different dive sites.
• Have proven experience diving in moderate current.
• Have proven ability to navigate an unfamiliar site with ability to return to the anchor point.
• Dive with a suitable torch, and with a glow stick / marker light attached to the top of their tank or shoulder area.
• Ensure that they have all required dive gear.  
  Bring your own mask, snorkel, fins and torches, as Unidive does not provide these.
  If you need to hire other equipment such as BCD, reg, wetsuit, tanks, and weights, it is your responsibility to hire these before the trip (typically at the Unidive shed on Thursday night before the trip). There will be no one at the shed who can arrange gear hire on the day of the trip.
• Dive within their certification and capability.
• Follow instructions given by the Dive Supervisor.
• Notify the Dive Officer and Trip Organiser of any changes to personal circumstances as declared in the event registration form.
