Looking for a great weekend away to slot in before exams? Heard of Byron Bay but haven't managed to get there yet? Wondering what all the fuss about Julian Rocks is? This is the trip for you!

It's a full weekend trip - leaving Friday night, staying at the hostel Friday and Saturday, diving Saturday and Sunday. Get home exhausted on Sunday arvo. If you want to join for a day trip, you'll have to organise your own carpooling as I'm not going to do that (it just gets way too hard). Please also note that daylight savings time will be in effect in NSW by then.

The diving is with Sundive: https://www.sundive.com.au/fun-dives/dive-sites/ They've set aside a whole boat for us for the two morning dives - meeting at the shop 7:15am and finishing up around lunchtime (NSW DST time!).

Total cost for the trip will be dependent on fuel and food cost. If we do our own cooking we can keep the costs down, but it will be just under $400 (4 dives with tanks and weights, 2 nights accommodation, food, fuel) - gear hire not included.

Your spot is not confirmed until you pay - I won't be collecting deposits, you will need to call and pay Sundive and the YHA directly to confirm your spots with them. They haven't given me a strict date yet, but this will need to be done by about the middle of September. If the trip is cancelled due to weather by the shop we'll get a full refund from both, if you cancel it's up to you to sort that out with them. I'll send more specific details to those who sign up.
